ABOUT ABOUT

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is uniquely exciting. Every year for three weeks, Scotland's majestic capital is transformed into a magical, unpredictable, thrilling world. We are happy to announce that Troupe #1156 of the International Thespians Society/University High School Theatre Arts has been selected to return to the world's largest arts festival in 2017! This time around, our student ambassadors will attend and perform not only as actors and technicians, but as playwrights too. Thank you for your generosity; we will be two "A Sold Out Stroud" for Scotland fundraisers during the 2016-2017 school year with our first being the 12 Days of Giving.

The goal of "A Sold Out Stroud" for Scotland is to fundraise for the 35% of the program costs including venue/equipment fees of the Fringe Festival, on-site staff in London and Edinburgh, and the performance related expenses of taking a show to the World's Largest Arts Festival. Without this financial obligation, the student performers can focus on just that - performing.

To play in our Stroud-styled Monopoly Game/Raffle: choose a seat (or seats) and select the amount you would like donate; your gift then reserves that seat as your "raffle ticket" for the duration of the Fundraiser. We hope to fundraise over 700 unique donations; one for every seat in Stroud to be exact. At least one prize will be awarded per day making it advantageous to collect multiple seats throughout the 12 Days of Giving Fundraiser.

  • $25: "Take Your Seat" Supporters claim your seat(s) and become eligible to win any of the prizes available through the duration of the fundraiser should YOUR SEAT NUMBER(S) be “pulled into play”.
  • $250: Full Cast "Curtain Call" Sponsors will receive a signed poster/cast photo along with with a special discount on all UHigh Theatre Ticketleap Orders for the year 2017. Thank you for supporting each of the participants.
  • Set Your Own Level of Giving: Want to play but make a donation of more than $25? Any and all donations are greatly appreciated.
  • If you wish to make a donation of over $250, please contact Mr. Webb at [email protected] to discuss the Gift of Performance Program option through the American High School Theatre Festival.

Prizes and winners will be announced each day via email. Prizes include: discount codes for future shows, free tickets, show memorabiliagift baskets, and more such as one winner of the infamous "Golden Ticket" (free entry into UHigh Theatre shows for life).

Thank you for your support of these student ambassadors and all of our students in the performing arts.
